its been a while I know…
Don’t lecture me, I’ve been busy.
After watching one of those high-school-coming-of-age movies (Girl Next Door) tonight, it got me thinking of my early days. In particular this one teacher I had, Kevin Mcllvain. He taught fine arts, which at our school was just called art. Probably one of the only teachers I had that I would care to say I was inspired by.
I know, it sounds cheesy but hey. So I got to thinking: It would be great if I could go talk with him. See how things are. Let him know how cool he was. So I pull up my high school’s staff web page, and to my surprise he isn’t listed. Crafting a clever google search string (and I do mean clever, as I couldn’t remember his last name and when I did how to spell it exactly) I find he left in 2001.
So to make matters cheesier, I figure I write up a blurb, mention Mcllvain a couple of times, and hope he searches the Internet for his own name. Whether we admit it or not, everyone does search for their name every once in a while. Of course, he probably isn’t living in Ohio anymore and I doubt after n years, he remembers me. But hey, it’s a long shoot anyways! Mcllvain.
