Web Badges
I thought it would be fun to list all the web badges that apply to the site onto one page. So here they are, in no particular order:
Platform Labs
Got the pictures from Platform Labs in the picture gallery. The mission of platform labs was pretty neat: basically provide physical and bandwidth space to for-profit companies at non-profit prices. Unfortunately, there wasn’t a lot of cool servers to look at. They also are an Edison Incubator, which help discover and fund start-ups.
IEEE Presentations
I had the pleasure of attending some of the local IEEE ComSoc meetings because I leech off Jack’s membership. I’m finally getting around to posting some of the pictures from the events. You can find them in my picture gallery. There is another one tomorrow at Platform Labs and pictures should follow.
And I know, Apryl, these are not pictures of the kids. I’m getting around to it though.. ![]()
Happy Birthday, Site
The site is now one year old (and two weeks). I originally wasn’t going to post anything because I’ve actually been running “a site” for more like 2+ years.
But then I got to thinking and realized that this is probably the longest stretch I’ve gone without switching the sites software… So, in a way, this is a pretty big milestone. I think this really speaks to the flexibility and power of Drupal.
While I was thinking of the old site, I dug out an archive I had of it and grabbed a screenshot. Notice the hand-carved HTML; they don’t build ‘em like that anymore!
GeoURL v2.0
Its good to see that GeoURL is back. I’m only a couple of months out of date this time. Of course you can find my meatspace neighbors.
