Ohio Supercomputer Center

Attended an IEEE presentation and tour of the Ohio Supercomputer Center (OSC) last week. While the tour didn’t involve any of the computing clusters, it was still pretty awesome. The presentation pretty much revolved around their Third Frontier Network (TFN) and Blue Collar Computing projects.

They also demoed some pretty cool human computer interaction technologies: a virtual drill (think remote dentistry) and a virtual reality room. Unfortunately I didn’t get any pics as I was too busy playing.
