Update Roll-Up

Okay, I admit it, I have been slacking recently. But honestly, you can’t blame me; we have been real busy around here. I figured I would quickly post updates on whats been going on.

The iAudio G3 is awesome. I bought it to help the time pass on my trip to Chicago (which is a story in itself). Three days traveling, and still using the original (read: cheap) battery that came with it. The ear buds are a little big, and hurt after a while, but all-in-all a great little player.

Speaking of Chicago, traveled to the suburbs (Naperville/Warrenville) last week for training on Intel’s Irwindale server; not a bad place. Didn’t get to go downtown though, but I’ll save that for when Renee and I go. The server is pretty kick’n. This is Intel’s 2U carrier grade server. Probably the most notable feature was the memory supports RAID 0 and 1. Yeah you read that correctly, the memory does RAID!

Moved into the new house. Still a lot of unpacking to do, but for the most part, we got all of the major items where they belong. Had 13 phone lines ran. Since they use CAT5e, all I have to do is replace the wall connectors and instant wired network. Gotta throw out props to Leviton for making some great voice & data products.

Lastly, rebuilt the toolchain and the system on the webserver. Now that pesky system hang is gone. Woot!
