Ohio Supercomputer Center

Attended an IEEE presentation and tour of the Ohio Supercomputer Center (OSC) last week. While the tour didn’t involve any of the computing clusters, it was still pretty awesome. The presentation pretty much revolved around their Third Frontier Network (TFN) and Blue Collar Computing projects.

Platform Labs

Got the pictures from Platform Labs in the picture gallery. The mission of platform labs was pretty neat: basically provide physical and bandwidth space to for-profit companies at non-profit prices. Unfortunately, there wasn’t a lot of cool servers to look at. They also are an Edison Incubator, which help discover and fund start-ups.
